Ser likt ut en story som min komips Mayeroff berättade för ett par år sedan:
"Actually I am filing a complaint with the OCPB (Office of the Consumer Protection Board) in Thailand about this.
Here's what happened:
On Feb. 22, gym management called me telling me that I can work out at their gym, the Fitness First in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok until the end of my 3 month contract (April 4).
Apparently some weak-a$$ members were complaining about the noise of my feet hitting the 'mill when I crank it up. It's been too hot to run outside lately, even for me.
So on Feb. 23, I went to the gym as usual, to do a hard tempo run on the treadmill. Gym management and the sales gal immediately get in my face when I walk in, saying that I cracked a treadmill. There is a crack between the control panel and the rest of the machine. I told them that the crack has been there for a long time and that other members use the machine too. It's normal wear and tear.
So the situation was very tense by the time I started my workout.
So I go to my favorite treadmill (not the one that has a crack) and hammer away. 40 minutes into my run (1 hour at 20.0-20.5kph with some Canova-style semi-recoveries at 18.5kph), a Thai woman walks to my machine and stands in front of it, saying that she's the Finance Director and that she needs to talk to me at once. I ignore her, and just smile, not looking at her. She keeps trying to talk to me. I keep ignoring. She won't give up, so I step to the side rails and point at her and say loudly "GET OUTTA MY FACE!! I AM DOING A HARD WORKOUT!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!" Then she says, and I am NOT making this up, "If you don't talk to me, I am calling the Police!" I said "GET OUTTA MY FACE!!!" Then she says, "I am coming back in one hour and if you don't talk to me, I am calling the police." I have no idea what crime I have committed for her to need to call the "Boys in Brown." (Thai police wear brown uniforms).
So then the Managing Director, a British guy, comes over to the 'mill and demands that I leave the gym immediately. I felt like punching the mofo, but my desire to avoid time in a Thai jail overrides my instinct to punch him.
I was so p.o.'ed for many days, just calming down about it now. I went to Taiwan for training just to have to avoid these dickheads on the street since my apartment is very close to this gym."
