Gunnar, I noted that you are better at using running drills and stride outs to increase cadence and stride length naturally without putting numbers in peoples head. The biggest thing I have seen on Jogg, is that most people focus on to many variables to make them run better. Your average runner does not understand a lot of what we are talking about. keep it simple, fun and let them improve naturally. Because most people don't have someone guiding them doing drills etc...so they can be doing this totally wrong (as an example)
If everyone understands everything that is being discussed on jog, why aren't people able to run faster than they are? and its not talent. Hard work can turn you into a good runner and training smart and keeping it enjoyable. I have seen a lot of runners over the years turn very very good athletes, Without focus on cadence, diet, etc...Just hard work.
Im not saying forget about cadence, diet etc.. But as soon you put too many thoughts into peoples heads they get confused and start trying to change things all the time.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinon for sure, mine is just one of many.
I myself have some reasonable times over numerous distances, I have never look at my cadence, let alone measured it. The same with a handful of Olympic runners I trained with. Yes they focus on good technique all the time, and drills.
