Just find other things to fill the time. Stretching, plyometrics, massage can benefit you on your days off. But if it is a pure rest day, just enjoy the free time you have and do things you don't usually have time to do, Because once you are in full swing of training you will be begging for a day off!
I have had 5 weeks of with a small fracture, so the mind does think. But keep yourself busy and enjoy having more spare time!
You can also spend the time looking at past training, finding what caused you to run your Personal best time,if you had an injury you can find what caused it...there are tons of things
